Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. The articles written by O'Dell in Charleston on how Charleston police handled DUI cases in a manner that was lenient, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. This investigation led to a more strict direction for state officials. In the year 2000, The Associated Press honored Ms. O'Dell by awarding her the Best Report of the Years Award in all South Carolina Media. O'Dell later worked at NBC's Miami-based station WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter prior to joining Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell, in addition to anchoring the main show for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC.
